Final cut pro lesson 1 review

1. Name 3 ways of opening final cut pro.

What is a storyboard?



What is a storyboard?
A story board is a sequence of drawings, with some directions and dialogue, representing the shots planned for a movie, Tv programme, music videos etc. Its from the point of view of the camera,  helps manage timing of production, opportunity for problem solving - can save money, portrays basic idea of the production, illustrates to others how the final product is seen, helps clarify a vision to the rest of the production team, used to sell an idea to a client.

Script for the lonely time traveller

THE LONELY TIME TRAVELLER


Characters;
Leo - Handsome, time traveller and very lonely.
President - bossy.
Amy - The girl he ends up meeting, pretty and lonely too.




EXT. LEOS FLAT - NIGHT
Leos flat, the front room window is flickering from the TV.

INT. LEOS FLAT - NIGHT
Close up of Leo as he wakes up from his cat licking his face.

LEO
(laughing)
Stop licking my face lucky! 

Leo looks through the TV guide and his mood suddenly changes from happy to sad.
He carries on talking to his cat.

LEO
(sighs)
When am i gonna find someone lucky, aye? I feel so lonely.

Leo buries his head in his hands. Then thinks of an idea and is surprised at himself.

LEO
(smiling)
I know what I'm going to do lucky! Im going to go forward in time and meet the girl of my dreams, its the only way! Better go to bed, night lucky! Got a big day ahead of us!

Leo walks out of the front room into his bedroom and goes to sleep.
The camera fades to black as leo quickly drops off to sleep.

INT.  LEOS BEDROOM - MORNING

Leo wakes up really happy and starts getting ready to go forward in time.
LEO
(singing)
Im gonna meet the girl of my dreams lucky! someone to take care of us, go forward in time with us and grow old with us!

EXT. THE COFFEE SHOP - 10AM

LEO
(V. happy)
White coffee please

COFFEE SHOP MAN
(strange look on his face)
That'll be 2.00 then please

Leo gives him a five pound note and smiles at the man.

LEO
There you go, keep the change mate.

COFFEE SHOP MAN
(surprised)
Thank you, thank you very much.

INT. LEOS FLAT - 10.10am
Leo drinks his coffee and disappears into thin air.


EXT. WASTE LAND - DAY TIME.

TITLE
2020
Leo looks around and is shocked he's not sure whether something has gone wrong with his time travelling. 

LEO
(confused)
What the hell? Where am I? Whats happened?

LEO
(shouting)
HELLO! HELLO! ANYBODY THERE?

Leo sits down on the floor and stares at the cracks in the ground and the pieces of houses and peoples belongings everywhere.

LEO
(Shocked)
I must be in an abandoned village, ill go somewhere else.

Leo then disappears into thin air again.

LEO
(shocked)
Oh my god! its like this everywhere! whats happened?

Leo looks around to see if anyone is alive but he cant see anyone or anything.

Leo then realises that his cat isn't with him and starts to shout his name.

Leo thinks a lot about it and only comes to one conclusion, it must of been another war.

LEO
(sighs)
I cant believe this has happened, what am i going to do?
