The purpose of our research is to inform people about the increasing train fares and how it is affecting peoples journeys and money.
What information might a researcher need?
For this research we will need to speak to C2C, get quantitative research including statistics and surveys. We will need to know the exact prices of the tickets. We will also be interviewing local people who get the train and students who find it hard to get to college on a daily basis because of the increasing train fares. We will need to know the prices of the train tickets now and before and how much it has gone up in a percentage.
Why might they conduct research?
To make sure our research is reliable and all of our information is factual. We will be conducting a survey, questionnaire and speak to the c2c over the phone for an interview to ask them about how they feel about rising their prices, speaking to local people and students will help our story as we will be getting their opinions on this as well as our facts, primary evidence and secondary evidence.
What would a research need to consider?
We would need to consider legal and ethical things about our research and also consider everyone's opinion on this and consider being balanced and fair, our research cannot be biased. We will need to consider the fees of this story as if its too much we will not be able to go forward with this story. We also need to consider release forms for the people we will be interviewing on this. We need to write out questions for our survey so that local residents that get the train often and for our college students.
